11. How does GPS fleet tracking work?

GPS fleet tracking works through an app. Drivers install the app on either an Android or IOS device. The app then sends GPS coordinates every 5 seconds to the server. Apps are "smart" in that they are always looking for an Internet connection. As long as the phone is online, it notifies the server accordingly. Should the phone turn off and back on, the app automatically goes back to sending those updates.

12. How can GPS tracking reduce operational costs?

The GPS tracking history delivers valuable information about the routes company vehicles have completed. History includes information about the time, the speed and the location. This is information that when analyzed properly can offer opportunities for improvement. This history of data is also a verified timestamp of what happened. If detours or traffic caused delays, a late delivery issue can be resolved. It may also serve you should you need legal proof of where the vehicle was.

13. What type of reports are available?

Report data that can be downloaded includes a summary detailing driving time and mileage for each vehicle. Reports can also offer speed predictions for that route, taking into account speed limits and the makeup of the route (highway versus city speeds). This report also includes a summary of the initial route configuration for your records. Also available are files for each vehicle with the deliveries assigned to them. These individual files also contain estimated delivery time.

14. What kind of files can be uploaded?

XLS files should be used. This is the most widely used format. If you have different formats, please discuss this with us.
